The motor mount locations are not present for the 5.0, that means you need to change the suspension. You also need a different tranny, and rear end. The wiring harness is totally different too. So is the radiator, and the exhaust. Before you start doing something this massive you should make sure you won't be better off just selling your 2.3 and buying a 5.0. If you do it right you'll be looking at 2000.00 at least. Figure 500+ for a used 5.0, another 500+ for the rear end and tranny, and 500 for the exhaust, and wiring including the computer. Add in the radiator and miscellaneous parts and your knocking on the $2000 door. I contemplated the changeover myself. I wound up just buying a 5.0 though.

The 5.0, 4 cylinder, and V-6 stangs use the same motor mount locations. The I-6 is the one that is different. I agree that the best way is to simply sell the 4 holer and buy a 5.0.
