Best BFG Comp T/A DR Tire Pressure

What is the best tire pressure to hook up these tires. I have BFG P275-50R-15 mounted on 10" wide 15" wheels. My best to date is 1.90 60 ft. with 13lbs. Can I go lower? 92 LX Notch dynoed at 458hp rwhp.

I usually run mine around 15-13 PSI. I've found that the trick is to heat them up. I just spin 'em in the water for a second then pull out and heat 'em till they smoke pretty good. To date I've cut low 1.8's. http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...board/wink.gif

Play around with the pressures. Each car has a different set up, so you have to find what works for you.

I run mine around 10psi. My 60fts are consistently in the 1.7x to low 1.8 range.

Launch technique is important too. I ride the clutch out of the hole at around 2500 rpm & then plant the gas pedal. That's what works for my set up.

BFG recommends 12-18psi, FYI. They also recommend no more than a quick burnout to clean them, although everyone I talk to says you need to get them hot.

Last time I went to the track I had a set of bald 255/50/16 on stock pony rims. I had them around 14-15 PSi Launching at 4000RPM after heating them up and I pulled a best of 1.77 and consistant 1.8's.

Ok guys, I can't drive for crap! My best 60' are in the 2.0x range! AGGH! I think I will try to lower my pressure some considering I usually go with 20 psi or so.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I will try the 10psi as it seems to work for "sisustang".

Hey Muskrat, i've been using the bfg dr's for a few years now and I have found the best results at 14psi on my 255 dr's i pulled a best of 1.70 on a very stock suspention at the time, but u have to heat them up well,4-5sec burnout good luck

After reading all the 1.7 times out there, I will have to blame the problem on the cow pasture track I usually run at. Not to mention any names, it is in N.W. N.J.
Oh by the way I have heated these suckers about 3-5 sec.
The 1.90 60' did yield a 12.01 at 119.5
Thanks again for the input.
