5 spd 2.3L?

Just a question. I'm wondering if anyone here has had any problems with the 5 spd in the 1987-1993 Mustang 2.3L.

My little sister is going to have her license soon and has been saving all she can for the last 1/2 year or so. She's lookin around for some cheap transport. She wants a stick, and she wants me to help her find something. Well, I already know the best car for her in her price range, but I've only owned the diseased A4LD auto in a 2.3. Guess I am wondering about the reliability of the 5 speed.

Thanks in advance for any opinions or other info.

I had to replace the clutch on mine, but I was always rough on it.

Yeah, clutches go out in every vehicle, I was just wondering about the reliability of the transmission itself. As she is my little sister I suppose that I could do clutches and stuff for her.

Thanks for the info guys. Anyone else want to put in their $0.02?
