Gas tank removed?

I am about to restore my GlX 5.0 stang. It has been garaged for about two years with about 5 gallons of gas in the tank. It hasn't been started in all that time too. Do I need to replace the tank and fuel lines or should I try to pump out the remaining gas some way.

Anyone ever do this?

Ga that has been stored that long will likely have gone bad. I would remove all traces of it from yourtank to injectors, but I would think the components of the system, with the possible exception of the filter sock on the intank pump, should be fine once cleaned.

just siphon the old gas out and put new in w/ good fuel system cleaner, try turning key to get fuel pump going and flush the lines for a few minutes, you might have to disconnect fuel line at the fuel rail or carb. which ever and run into a bucket. dont forget to replace any fuel filters too. hope this helps John
