Looking to rev up my 3.8L V6
Anyone have some info on how I can add some punch to my 2000 3.8L V6?

And finally, I would install a two chamber flowmaster exhaust system. |
Thanks for the info, I think the warranty advice is good. The car is a five speed so it already beats the automatic hands down. I test drove both and bought the stick. I was thinking about replacing the tires anyway. It did come with Goodyear GA's, I was thinking about GT's. I heard from a friend at work that they make a super charger for the V6, not sure it that is true or not. Again, thanks for the info.

Vortech makes a supercharger kit for the 3.8, but you can kiss your warranty goodbye.

some simple thins you can do is add a K&N filter..remove the air box..we have also added dual exh.-17 inch rims/50 series tires and lowered our sons 95 3 inches..replace the stock shfter with a B&M aftermarket...while in for some warranty work on the heads they were shaved 10..runs strong for no internal mods.

Hey, the best way to go is as follows: Dual flowmaster 40 series exhaust, MAC CAI(Cold Air Induction) kit. This will add a lot of power for $600-$700. As for wheels, go with 17s Cobra R's if you can afford them. Motorsport sells them for $250 apiece, but there are other brands making copies of them for as little as $150. If you want to go supercharger, that's a little more advanced. There is a kit, but it costs about $2500, and if you supercharge a V-6, you MUST replace the stock head gaskets, they are weak and will leak massively in 4 months if you don't replace them. Hope that helps, and enjoy your 'Stang!
