Hey guys, I'm thinking my '94 3.8 needs a new air intake. Anybody have any really good response from any particular intake? By the way, I want to stay naturally aspirated. . . . .for now at least I'd appreciate some opinions, cause i don't just want to take a wild stab. Thanks

You wont get but so much out of a 3.8 so you dont want to spend a lot. Try a 35-40 K&N filter. Take the cover that is over the filter (silencer ?) and drill about 25 1/4 inch holes in it. Do you Have dual exaust yet? That may help.

Dual exhaust is also in the works

I have a 97 V6 and also experience lack the of horsepower. I have removed the silencer and modified the MAF. These two mods have resulted in better throttle response and a deeper sounding exhaust. Go to www.mustangworld.com tech articles for both mods.

I've already removed my air silencer. I guess modding the MAF was something I didn't really want to mess with.

What about a nice ram-air or cold air intake set up?

RoadWarriorV6 07-14-2000 02:26 PM

A cold air intake is really what i'm lookin at, i just want to know which one is the best. If anybody has one that they have had good response from. Tell me.

Try the MAC I think they make one for the newer stangs. I have the BBK on my 87 and love it.
