Urgent Need for Bad Brakes Fix

I working on a friends 97 6cyl mustang brakes. I've replace both rear calipers and the pads all around. I've bled the hell out of it and have no signs of air in the lines but I can't get a firm pedal. Is ther some special way to bleed these brakes? I started at the rear, the fartherest away from the master cyl and worked towards the master cyl. Any ideas as to what's wrong? Also, is the emergency brake (rear disk) self adjusting? If not how do you adjust it?
Thanks,
Paul

Sounds like you are doing it right. The emergancy brake had a recall on it from Ford. You might want to check on that. It was breaking on alot of V6 stangs.
