WHO HAS A HOT ROD?
 

What kind of hot rod classic ponies are out there? What's under the hood? Describe it and post it!!!!!! Feel free to click on my Email and send me a picture. I never get tired of looking at Mustangs.

I have made a replica of a 1966 GT350 convertible. took me nine years to get it done and now i take it to shows and have received awards at all but two shows( showed up too late). I took it to the Shelby spring flig in Nashville Indiana and they were great. many guys that have real shelbys had to ask if it was one of the real four to six cars built..I'll send pix to any that ask for it thuogh Email. I also have a 1989 25ann Mustang GT that has a bolt on 83-86 hood scoop and a Radar blue paint job.

FETTSTANG, the picture you sent was great!!! I can honestly say that is the best looking 66 convertible I have ever seen! Let me know if you ever make it to a show in Texas. I will be the guy with his jaw hanging wide open if actualy see it.

I've got a 66 coupe that's gone through 6 years of restomods.
Build 289, 5 speed tranny, 9" rear end etc...

2bav8 the trumpet exhaust with shelby style hood and grill looked cool and mean on your restomod. Sweet job on function and fashion! It took me a while to realize what made your restomod stand out from so many of the others. I think it was your painted bumpers and attention to detail. I am just begining my project. I keep telling myself it will take about two or three years, knowing full well that it will be five to ten. It's cars like yours that keep me motivated.

P.S. Very nice web page. My brother called it "A Mustang must see". What does it take to set up something like that?

well, my 68 is comming apart now.. did have a 289, .640 roller cam,gear drive, ported 66 heads with 1.94 and 1.50 valves, tunnel ram with a pair of brasswell 660's, top loader, narrowed 9in,
4.56 gears,,ugly as sin.. primer black..
going to make the interior look original except for wheel tubs ( gonna cover them with carpet ).. dumping the small block for a 460 from motorsport, have a set of 429CJ heads for it,, tunnel ram with a NOS fogger (probably get a single dominator intake too )
have a set of 5.14's, N-case and spool, plus the daytona pinion support http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif

now.. if I can figure out how to go thru emmissions testing .. heheheh

200 I6 instead of crappy 255 V8.
135k miles and still runs like a million bucks.
