rail rockers

I want to upgrade the cam in my `70 302. I don`t have the extra cash to convert to adjustable valvetrain. I`m building a mild budget engine. Is it possible to install a mild cam with rail-type rockers? If so, what kind of specs are possible? any suggestions? anyone out there ever done this? Appreciate any information. Thanks.

Comp Cams sells a kit to make the pressed in positive stop studs on the '70 heads adjustable. I used the kit on my heads for a couple of years prior to installing screw in studs. I run a Summit K3601 cam with 276/286 durations and .471 lift on both intake and exhaust and I never had a problem. The kit is only about $30.00 through Summit Racing.
