cable clutch
anyone know of a kit to convert a 66 mustang to cable clutch? going with a 5.0 and T-5..

Look in any Ford or Mustang mag. DB Performance makes a kit that I have used in my 65 Fastback. But be aware he doesn't say it will not work without a ton of modifications if you are using headers and not stock exhaust manifolds and you will need to beat the hell out of the underside of your cowl and skin up at least half your knickles. The kit is not cheap ($350.00 or more as I remember). It also helps to drink quite a bit before trying the install,cause if you don't ,you surely will after. The quarters under the dash are tight to say the least. So for he is the only one that I know of offering the kit. Daivd |
I made my own and didn't have to beat anything out. I can sure see how it would make things easier. I love the cable clutch btw...smooth and quiet.
