67 GT Fastback

I am looking to buy a 67 GT Fastback. The owner restored it as a Shelby GT 500.The 390 4 speed stayed (Rebuilt). The exterior is full-out Shelby. How do I put a offer on it. Would it have been worth more if restored to the original? Is it still just a GT with Shelby goodies on it? Or has the value gone down because of the changes? Thank-you for your time

That is a tough call and putting a price on it will be rough. In my opinion it is no longer a gt quality car since it would take lots of money to restore it to gt status, and it certinally is no shelby. But it is a nifty restomod and a cool drive. I would think somewhere between regular fast back and gt. It really boils down to how much you like it but don't buy it expecting a big return. It is now a modified which takes the right buyer who just likes the car and pays what he/she wants.
