Hood Change
I have a 72 mustang grande and I was wondering if it is possible to swap the hood from the one it has to the one the Mach 1 has? (NASA-styled hood scoops). Or has anyone tryed to modify their own hood?

You bet it can be done, may companies out there are hoping you want to do this. It can be done may ways, with the purchase of a fiberglass repro hood, or with a fiberglass scoop that has to be grafted on to the existing hood.
I just added a 2 1/2" cowl induction hood scoop to my 88 coupe. And have added scoops on various other Mustangs, a Tear Drop to a 65 Mustang scoop. A Snorkel to a Fairmont. ------------------ 393,9.5" 351W 830 Holley HP Victor Jr. Home made Cool Air Pan Pro Billet MSD MSD 6AL XE 284H Xtr-Com cam 240-246 @.050 540-544 M/T Et streets Mac Upper and Lower Control Arms 3:73 US Gear Eagle Long rods Mac Windage tray KB Pistons Scat crank 3000 rpm stall convertor C-6 trans Airflow Research Hooker long tubes 3" exhaust. It is very easy to swap hoods, all that it involves is the 4 bolts that hold the hood in position.
