Weight of 66 coupe

Can someone please provide me with the weight of a 66 coupe V8. I have a couple of books, but they don't list the weight.
Thanks in advance

I'm gonna throw 2800 into the ring. I have seen and heard a lot of different numbers through the years, and I guess I will just have to have mine weighed to settle issue.

I know my 66 GT fastback weighs quite a bit less than my old 67 coupe. I removed the engine/trans/rearend and used it in this car, and it just feels quicker. I have heard that the coupes weigh the least.

The Standard catalog of American Cars says:

Shipping weight--2488 lbs.

The number that comes to mind is 2560, dry weight.

After I get my '65 running, I'll weight it and post the results.

I did weigh my '66 Coupe. With 1/2 tank of gas and without me in it, it weighed 3020 lbs. Included was spare tire, jack, lug wrench etc. This was for C-4, no A.C., no P.S. Extra was 2 1/2 " exhaust, FlowMasters, home made cold air box and much larger wheels and tires. Al. intake and water pump save a little. I think those published low wts. are dry wt. for 6 bangers with 3 speeds and no accessories.

My 65 K code coupe (289, toploader 4 speed, styled steels and a 9" rear (no power steering, brakes,a/c or driver)weighed 2969# with a little less than a 1/2 tank of fuel when put on a scale back in 1998.
