MSD ignition

Does anyone have the Msd setup in their mustang? Can a Ford duraspark work in a old mustang or do you have to buy the msd billet distributor? Wiring the box up looks kind of complicated, if you could offer help i would appreciate it once again. thanks!

I hooked up dura spark and an MSD on a 351W I use to run in a Donzi I had. I just used a stock distributer for the pickup and wired it to the MSD using the instructions that they supplied. Worked great too. The hall effect pickup is alot better then the a set of points. There is no wear and the timing doesn't change.

Good luck and Merry Christmas

so the wires that come off the msd box hooks directly into the coil and the duraspark? simple as that? what about the one wire that comes from the ignition?

I think MSD has details about your installation on there website. They
even sell a adapter to hook the duraspark
up to the MSD box without cutting wires. http://www.msdignition.com/
