TIRE SIZE ?

Need a little help for a friend.
What size tire should he use on his 1969 Mach I ? He is using the original 14" wheels and would like to use bigger then stock size tires. Would a bigger size in the rear be recomended or look better?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Gil.

All I know is don't get 295/50s...they rub like a mo fo on my '69 Coupe, and I have KYB Gas-a-just shocks with extensions on them. They look bad a$$ though, and leave some sweet tracks. But I have 15X8.5s and he probably is using 14X7s...I think that's what they were stock. And 295/50s aren't gonna fit on those...So I'm no help...anyone else?

Gil,
I have 235-70R14 on my car and they look good but I would not go any smaller to fill the wheel wells.
