How to get one
 

I have loved the mustang from the day I opened my eyes. Being a single mother I havent yet had the money spare to by my self a mustang. The problem is I want one to restore not one already done, (I want to personalize and bring back to original beauty)
I have restored old fairlanes but never been close to finding my dream car of a shelby GT
as these are imposible to find I would die for a convertable mustang.
Can any one give me some advice on how to get one and where to start?
What are the best sites to visit to get parts etc.
Any help would be great

Samantha, if money is tight, look for a V-8 coupe, 65-68. These are fairly common as they were made in large numbers. As you probably know, look for a relatively rust free car. Sounds like you already know how to do the rest. Many Mustang parts houses around the USA, look for one in your area.

Mustangs Plus in Ca. is good for suspension stuff. lots of options from stock to road race. I love the stuff i got there.

You never know where one of the beauties can be found. I aquired my '68 convert from my contractor brother-in-law. He did a job for someone that couldn't pay for the work. The guy offered my brother-in-law the mustang as payment.

It had been sitting in a garage for about 15 years and had 89,000 orginal miles. Looked pretty bad when I got it but with a little TLC, it now looks great.

I still have quite a bit more to do, but that's the fun.
