Hee,hee, I see the heater by-pass hose just like mine. Who cares if we freeze in the winter as long as we can haul ***.

soon a my buddy (with small hands) comes and

How well does your car handle in comparison to a new car? Can you take corners very quick? Have you had your car to track yet? I love the look it has. Is your intake a single or dual plane manifold?

Thanks

Soonerjoe79,

The car does stick in the turns very well, it
is not as easy to drive fast as a new car. The ride is very firm, so bumps in turns tend to upset(sideways) the suspension. The car doesn't have power brakes or steering so you have to work it pretty hard. On a smooth sweeper, like a freeway on ramp it is amazing. I plan to do some open track events
with it soon.

The 17's have never rubbed, I don't baby
the car either. The only bad thing about
the 17" inch wheels is how stiff it makes
your car. If my town would just re-pave all the roads it would be great. 18" inch wheels
would be cool also...

This is my first performance engine, so i have nothing to compare it to. It will light
em up in second just rolling on the gas! I'm
real curious what my 1/4 times will be, even
if my car isn't set up for the drags, it will be fun. I don't think the AFR's are even working hard in my setup.

Hey Bill, I'd like to see this beauty in person. Do you ever take to to Clayton graffiti night? I haven't seen this car around town before.

Billgear 02-21-2001 11:09 PM

The car runs better then it looks, I drive it
around Concord a couple time a week. What
is the graffiti night all about? Once I get the body and paint sorted out, i'll be
out and about a little more. Seems like I do
more working on it the driving.

Graffiti night is every Wednesday in downtown Clayton during the summer. It is hosted by a local radio station and Skippolini's pizza.

The station broadcasts live from main street with the theme Clayton Car Show. Classic car owners park their rides on Main St. for all to check out. Kind of like Hot August Nights in Reno.

Starts around mid May and goes to mid September. Gets pretty packed in June, July and August. Lots of cool cars with the majority being '60s & '70s muscle.

Try it one night. It's a lot of fun.

Thanks for the reply, you mean i don't have to drive to danville to see hotrods!
