update on my 390
 
well, I fixed the carb... the insides were all crapped out. But now comes the bad news... smoke is POURING out from her tailpipes!!! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/frown.gif Now I need to rip the heads off and see what's going on...

surgery will take place march 11, 2001. (heehee...)

Yeah check all those things before don't wana take anything apart if you don't need to. I know I wouldn't. Could be the valve stem seals. If it is upon start up and really gunning it it could be. Dont have to take the heads off to replace them.

well, I hope you didnt pull the heads for no reason... you know.. if it kept flooding, it probably trashed the set of plugs in it.. probably just need new ones... ;-)

OK, well, I ripped the plugs out and did a compression check... Somethings definatly wrong with the drivers side of the block... http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/confused.gif
