front springs

I've got a 69 fastback with a "L" in the VIN number. I'm pretty sure that is the V6 code. The car has 302 in it now and has had one it it for the past 11 years. Should I worry much about putting different front springs on it.(due to the weight difference) It rides fine now and handling is not an issue being that it only gets driven about once a week and at the track. Thanks for any info.

That's right but it does reflet the 6 cylinder. what's the weight difference.

yes L is for the 250 cid inline six. I am not sure about the weight difference though. What kida of springs do u want to chance to? All u have to do is make sure u get the v8 springs and not the 6 springs. If u take it to the track I will be easy to get some drag spirngs for it. I had a hell of a time finding drag springs for mine. I finally did though.
