Fuel Gauge

The fuel indicator in my '67 coupe goes only up to about half full when the tank is full. Any suggestions as to what I need to do to get it to work correctly? E

Well I got that out of my system...what was the question??? Oh, yeah fuel gauge. Sounds like the sender is bad. But to prove it out, take the lead off the sender and attach it to a good ground on the frame. The gauge should read Full. If it does the sender isn't working right. If it doesn't look at the gauge.
