I need the bolt torque for the water pump and timing cover. Any help would be nice.

Umm, I can honestly say I have never used a torque wrench on the front cover/pump.
The front cover bolts go into the block and I use a short rachet/socket. I have always tightened them just enough. Dry bolts only/or lock tight. Never any lube on any bolts. The pump bolts to the ALUMINUM cover. I use a short box end wrench, as not to put too much on the bolt. And use a criss cross pattern to tighten up, starting in the middle. I dont know what level of maintenence you are at, so I hope this helps or maybeit wont. |
I'm with mustangII460. I've never known anybody that used a torque wrench there. Use something short if you're heavy handed. 3/8 drive or maybe even 1/4 drive, especially on aluminum.

If you're not experienced, or simply want to do it by the book, the local library usually has the large professional type Chilton manuals that will give all torque values for the engine.
