Strut rod bushing replacement
Hi all. Does anyone know of an easy way remove strut rod bushings for replacement? The shop manual says to pry on the washer to separate them, but that didn't seem to work. My car is a '71 if that makes a difference. Of course I can go back and try harder. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Not too sure about the '71, but my '66 strut rod bolts to the lower suspension arm at he rear and attatches to the frame at the front with the bushings. Jack up the car, undo all the bolts and the thing should come apart easily (at least on my '66).

Thanks Rev. That go me thinking...I didn't unbolt the strut rod from the lower control arm - I was just trying to pull the fron bushing off the end of the strut rod. So, I'll try unbolting it and see where that gets me. Thanks again.

Unbolt everything. They should come right apart.
