GT spoiler ????
 

My wife has an 89 GT and she is the second owner.The car is in great shape except for a couple of rust spots. She is the second owner and really loves this car.She really wants to keep this car. Problem is that I am concerned with this rust thing. We are stationed in Hawaii right now and the air out here is killing her car. I need to take the spoiler off to clean up this rust problem. What is the easiest way to remove the spoiler?the bulk of the problem is that the spot of rust is getting bigger and going under the spoiler.any ideas as how to correct this problem would be helpful. Money is tight so please keep that in mind.

There are three bolts on eash side of the wing. Take off the panel that is on the hatch this will give you access to the bolts, it is very easy to do. The studs that are on the wing may be rusting and dripping out on the hatch, clean the bolts back up and re-install.
