IN NEED OF AN OPINION

i want to make my 92 mustang gt fast around 12 eventually. Should i put a 3.73 or a cold air inductions and headers on it first

well if you want to get the biggest bang for your buck i think you will find that gears would be the way to go first but do the second step after that the car will love you if you let it breathe better. I went with the 4.10 gears that really makes it get up and go

Put in a gear and underdrive pulleys first, they offer the best bang for the buck, then go for the exhaust, and then the cold air stuff.

My car with SVO pulleys, MAC 1-5/8 equal-length shorties, SVO 2-1/2 off-road pipe, Flowmaster 2-1/2 Force II exhaust, K&N filter, Short Belt, and 14 degrees of timing made about 250 hp or there abouts (thats with a leaky intake manifold gasket that sucked oil into the intake port every once and while along with a funky deck which was machined at 2 different angles and probably caysed me to lose a bit of valve lift front to back)

Absolutely go with the gears first. Most of the cold air stuff is for show more than anything else. I would go with the 65mm throttle body and at least a 73mm MAF, full exhaust (headers, h or x pipe and cat back system)and sticky tires before I screwed around with a cold air system. Your going to need some suspension to put the horsepower to the pavement, so you'll have to go with control arms and subframe connectors at least to stiffen up the chassis. Then you have to look at heads and intake and once your there your solidly into the 12's. Or you can get a nitrous setup or a blower and get there much much sooner, though you'll still need to get traction. I know where your at my man, been there, doing that. http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...board/wink.gif
