Spanked a 2001 TA on the Highway!
 

It was late saturday night and a few buddies and I decided to take a cruise out to the local hangout. I had just gotten my car out of storage and swapped out a TFS intake and a 65 TB for a Edlebrock RPM and an 75mm TB. I thought I had lost tons of torque and it was slower than before!! But wait, one of my buddies had a 2001 TA with a flowmaster, WS-6 Ram air, chip,shift kit, and 3.73 gears. Supposedly he runs 13.1-13.0, so I figured what the heck, might as well find out how fast my car is now--last yr it ran a 12.9 at 107.5 on street tires. We got down to about 50 mph( i think), dropped into 3rd gear and waited until I heard his car rev up. We were off...after well into 4th gear, I looked back and he was about-honestly 7-8 cars back.....I was like holy $hit, I couldn't believe it...espically on the e-way...oh well...just another LS1...it was exiciting to get my first race of the yr in. Now on to those cocky guys with their Z06's!!!

Would have to be deep into the 12's from that description. That's amazing for your mods. I'd keep it the way it is and go to the track . Let us know what the numbers are when you get there.

I hope so. I am shooting for low 12's with slicks. Last yr, i cut a 2.0 60' and ran a 12.9 @ 107.5...I figued with a better intake and TB(might be a little too big), and get rid of the A/C and smog pump and some slicks...i should hit it. I will definatley let everyone know what happens...good or bad.
