ZO6 at the track on Satuday
 

Saw a nice black ZO6 at the strip Saturday. I thought it would be a lot faster. It was running 12.8-13.0's at 111-112 all day. I never got to run him, but I do have the whole day on video.

I know he was not a pro driver, but i've read these stories of ZO6's trapping almost 120 mph totally stock.

12.8? That's bloody fast, for a tamed daily driver?!

Talk to Lizard King, that's exactly what we converted our mpegs from.

120mph traps for a Z06. No way. The best i've ever seen is 113-114. Its only got 385hp and weighs in about 150+ lighter than a C5. The viper will kill it in the 1/4mile with its 120mph traps.
The guy was prob. not the best driver but not bad either.

Z06s get another 20hp bump, 405hp, for next year.

I have been dying to spank one of these cars on the street. At least now I know I can for sure.

special package that, amongst other things, has 385hp.

You can tell one from it's special magnesium rims, it's red brake calipers & blacked out "air inlet" in front of the rear tires.

exgmguy, just buy your self a TV in card. They allow you to capture video. If you get the ATI TV WONDER(should be about $70US), don't get value edition... it doesn't capture, only tunes to TV.
