How to raise lowered car
 

I recently bought a 91 Mustang LX that had eibach springs put in. Unfortunatly, when I drove it to school, it bottomed out on a couple of speed bumps. It just barely scraped so I'm pretty sure just raising it about 1/2-3/4 of a inch would be sufficent. How can I do that with out just taking out the springs?

the only way I know is to swap back to stock springs or a motorsport spring that is not as low of a drop

For the rears, you can simply add spacers.
THe fronts dont really accept spacers, and might as well find another spring.

swap to the motorsport springs. they are a little taller and you wont be mowing the speedbumps as bad.

I'm not sure, but isn't there something like air bags for lowered cars that you can raise the car up for bumps and stuff? Try cheaking a local lowrider shop or something like that. I had a guy at a shop around here tell me about them once and said they were an alternative to hydraulics.

I dont think air bags($1000-$2000) would be the way to go on this. I dont believe he would like to spend over a grand to clear a couple of speed bumps. Is it scraping your exhaust or what part of the car? if its the exhaust maybe just try to put spacers in the rear. If its somewhere in the front I guess just switch to some different springs. i have the motorsports springs (just installed the front waiting on my control arms for the rear) and they lower my car enough that i can't go down my driveway, but not so much that its hard driving around.

you can get airlift airbags for about 70$ per pair. they fit inside the springs & you can raise & lower the car w/them. best bet would probably be taller springs though.....
