Mean F'n Prelude!
I was on my way home from work on Friday night (in my Toyota "econo-car").....when I slow down into red light traffic. I heard this loud whining rumble, looking around for something other than a ricer.......when I see where it's coming from as it get closer. It's a silver '00 Prelude (lowered, jet black tinted windows, ground effects) coming the other way. As it passes, probably going about 40 mph at this time (sounded *******' mean) and the thing shook all the cars it passed, includig mine. It felt like it was sucking up all the air around it - creating a giant vacuum. I didn't recognize the car, and asked a buddy if he's seen it. He told me he has, and it's twin-turbo's. This thing was the only intimidating ricer I've ever seen.......not alot of flash and glitz. Wow!

I saw a turbo civic the other day on the dyno. It put out almost 350 hp and 300 ft lb torque.
Impressive for a 4 cylinder. It sounded mean in the bay it was in, I wonder if it would sound half that good in the open on the street. I saw it when I went to get my new nitrous bottle filled. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX 12.565 @109.38mph 1.764 60ft |
