I think you missed my point.

The fact that NASCAR vehicles are so far removed from anything being made or driven today is why I, and others, don't relate to them, not because we think they have anything to do with 'real' cars available to the public.
That was the point of my post.

I have nothing against NASCAR, I just don't have much interest in it anymore. I'm sure they'll survive without me.
