Right now i'm working on a 393 stroker that i got from DSS. I would recommend getting a complete kit, or rotating assembly from one place. As far as I know Coast High Performance or DSS make really good kits. If you're planning on using the stock 302 block i would definately get main girdles, especially if you go nitrous. the 302 block will be running on the edge of it's capability. As far as fuel. The more compression and timing, the higher octane fuel you will need. other than that i would just suggest getting all your stuff from coast or dss, it will save you some hassle and you'll probably end up getting everything cheaper from a kit anyway.
