get a non lock up! i have a lock up converter, it locks in 3rd and 4th and i don't like it too much. like Mach 1 said the difference in RPM is neglible. if you plan on adding gears the rpm's will be higher and closer to the stall speed of the converter anyway. when you get a converter also get a trans cooler and a remote filter. a stall converter will run the tranny hotter and additional cooling is nice. the filter will save your tranny if the converter decides to let go!
