Vic JR's aren't ideal for streed driving, they are a high rpm head. I swear by TFS. On a car I had back in 2000 tat got totaled, I had a set of mildly ported TW's a Crane 2432(same as the TFS #2 cam) and a RPM intake and made 318 at the rear wheels. I also had a TB, 77 mm MAF, exhaust, pullies....
AFR's make a great head andso does Canfield.
Mytop 3 are the Canfields, TW's and 165's(the 185's are great too, but they are more of a higher rpm head than thes 3.
Canfield: 258/193 @.600
TFS TW: 253/191 @.600
AFR 165: 250/190 @.600
The TFS #2 cam is pretty wild.....the power gains I saw with that on dynos were averageing 10-15 hp more than the FMS, edelbrock, COMP, and Holley cams. It is a 224/232 duration cam and lifts .562/.543. I did have to flycut my pistons though....forgot about that. IfI were you, I would give Mr. Anderson a call and see what he has to offer in the cam dept.
