the PS2 is more for your money..you can play playstation games on it and PS2 games and DVD movies...it has 32MB of ram memory and runs at 300mhz..it uses DVD discs for games and it can run 75million polygons a second... very good graphics to say the least(dvd discs hold 6.4 gigabytes of data)
although it can push that meny polygons most games dont even come close...no reason for that much
gamecube only plays gamecube games..odviously...it has 40MB of memory and runs at 485mhz and uses 3inch discs which hold 1.5 gigabytes...the cube is very small...graphics are a bit better then PS2 and the load time is cut down alot, big thing with cube is its 100 dollars cheaper then the others
polygon performace is about 80-85 simillar to PS2
Xbox is one beefy machine..has 64MB of DDR memory(double date rate) and runs at 733mhz..it also has a 8 gigabyte hard drive comes with a network plugin(RJ45 jack) for online gaming. the xbox also uses DVD discs for games. one cool feature bout xbox is you can put music cd's in it and put the songs on the hard drive and use your own music in your games.the xbox is also HDTV ready. see..it takes longer for a system to pull info from a disc so what xbox dose is load SOME of the data onto the hard drive for quicker access. and as far as polygon performance..hold on to your pants but it puts out a womping 125 MILLION polygons a second..the bad thing is to watch DVD movies you have to spend a extra 30 on a dvd playback kit....OH yea..and the xbox is a damn tank..its almost the size of my VCR...
i know all this cause i do my research and i also have all three game systems i couldnt pick just one
