I don't know much about chevy trucks, did they have a 350 hp motor in those trucks from the factory? How does he know it has that much hp? Ever put it on the dyno? I doubt it.

This is probably one of those backyard motors that's suppose to make 350 hp. I don't know the whole situation, but let me share a little story with you.

A friend of mine blew the 305 in his 87 pontiac trans am. He found this guy that had a 383 for sale that made 400 hp. The guy had alot of receipts that added up was around $4500. The receipts showed good parts were used building this motor. Long story short, his best pass was a 10.85, in the 1/8th.

Now this truck weighs probably 1000 lbs more than your car so that neglects the horsepower advantage, if there ever was any, anyway.

You don't say is your car auto or stick. If it's auto, you might be close on take off only because stock auto mustangs are dogs out of the hole. If it's a stick you will definately have him all the way. Either way you going to win.
