A 9" is heavy as hell. 500 rwhp won't hurt a good 8.8, so why add weight? Unless you want to be able to swap gears easily, but then you have to build a 2nd center section, so add $800+ to the price to take advantage of that feature. I still think you ought to use 9" ends on the 8.8, tho, instead of C-clip eliminators.
