are you talking about the holes in the back of the heads or the bumps inside (the head) the exhaust runners?
if you are talking about the bumps on the inside, yes it is wise to grind them down.
if you are talking about the holes in the back of the heads after you remove the tube, then all you have to do is get bolts that fit. or go to the dealer and they have bolts that are made for them. only a few bucks.

and then remove the solonoids and tubing as well as the cats and injector tube that goes to the cats.
