The Mustang Mach III was SVT's representation of what they felt the SN95 Mustang should have been.
A two seat roadster that seemed to target the Corvette. It was powered by a 4.6L DOHC intercooled twin turbo engine making an estimated 450hp. 0-60 3.7sec 1/4mile 11.3sec. Those were Ford's released estimated performance expectations. The design cues were very retro looking in many cases. Front engine, rear wheel drive was the layout. A racing style fuel cell in the trunk, center exit exhaust system, retro rear end treatment, and a racing gauge layout added to the unique nature of this concept vehicle.
I am not certain, but I'm pretty sure SVT went with 4 wheel independant suspension on the Mach III. It got all kinds of really cool goodies, and it was one killer concept car.
