blizzaks are great snow tires and may make any rwd car decent in the snow, with an exp. driver. not better than an awd or 4wd anything with at tires though.

awd is usually better suited for snowy and wet conditions, however 4wd will do just as good in snow and much better off road. the only down side to 4wd in snow is you need to make sure there is enough snow (not patchy snow and slush) on the ground to allow the tranfercase it's slippage or else you can cause damage to the 4wd system. although some newer 4wd systems now have the selections to use 4wd in those conditions too. you will see 2wd, part time(or auto) 4wd, full time 4wd, neutral, and 4 lo among your selections.

i would love to see a mustang on blizzaks try to out accelerate a v8 grand cherokee quadra drive in 4" of snow though!!!
