Abe,
One other quick note. Make sure you have all the vacum lines attached because they are required when opening and closing the air valve to allow hot air to pass into the duct. if you turn the dial from cold to hot you should be able to hear the valve opening. One way to check it is to switch between FLOOR-VENT-DEFROST-MAX-NORMAL you should notice the air valves opening and re-routing the air to where you dialed it. If some of this or all of it doesn't work then it's just vacum lines. They could be either crossed or still disconnected.
