Bound Brook, N.J. is located pretty close the the center of the state (maybe a little north east of center), in Somerset County. Neighboring towns include Somerville, New Brunswick and Middlesex, and State Route 22 and 287 run through it. It's area is aprox. 1 square mile, but has it two claims to fame; George Washington first flew the 13 star flag over the Continental Army at their campsite in the Watchung Mountains, in Bound Brook, and, The Cyalume light stick (those sticks you crack and they glow bright green for 6 hours) was invented at Bound Brook's American Cyanamid plant. The fumes from Cyanamid made for beautiful sunsets, too, since they were on the west side of town
