Unless they are really sticky tires you should be able to by just hammering it from a stop.
You can also press on the brake pedal with the left foot and give it some gas up to about just before the car starts to move. Then hammer it and let off the brakes.
If you want to sit still and spin 'em just hold down the brake pedal and give it throttle to get the tires spinning. If your brakes are still pretty good, like on my Lightning, you have to let off the brake pedal a little (not having it all the way down), and give it gas to spin the tires while holding the car in place with the brakes. Easy to do and it will get you on your way to a new set of tires even faster
