No spreadsheets for me, just a growing pile of receipts stacking up on the garage steps.
Probably around $4000 now and that is mostly suspension, rear end, brakes, tires, paint, and exterior goodies. (no labor, I do everything myself.)
Already spent 1500 this fall to collect my heads, cam, and intake. I'll be starting that project this week.
I try to by used stuff wherever I can, especially if it is non-mechanical/electrical or if it can be refurbished with new (better) components. I get lots of little stuff from "Pull your own" lots.
As much fun as they are, these cars can be huge $$ vacuums. Then there are the non-direct costs- entry fees, clothing/helmets, travel costs, gas, motels....etc. Insurance, loan interest, insurance,.......it never ends.
