My very first boyfriend's dad bought him one for $50 for his 16th b-day. It was a rusted out piece of crap, but at least it ran;
for about 2 weeks untill the fly wheel broke(or something) and was going to cost more to repair than the car was worth. But we had fun learning to drive a stick shift.
