your gonna have to keep playing around until you can get it to run . i recently started my rebuilt engine i have a edelbrock manifold and a 600 carb . man i had flames shooting out of the carb ran like junk until i played with the timing enough to keep it running to adjust the air/ fuel mixtures also does your car show any signs of trying to start like backfiring , is there compression any change in sound when you move the distributor let me know and i will try to help you out also make sure you got the distributor is in correct..
