the plastic line is not NHRA legal, so if you plan on going to a track where they check that kinda stuff you'll get rejected for it

it can also wear easily if its rubbing something and then produce leaks.
NAPA carries the 1/8 copper tubing that you'll need, just get like 7-8 feet of it. It's not very expensive either (under a buck per foot). You can use the same brass compression fittings on the copper line too.

This is what I did and it works fine. Except I ALSO got some teflon tape in the fitting and saw no oil pressure till I re-did it.
