New to the scene ....Help?
Hello,
I am looking for some advice I just purchesed a 93 lx 5.0 5 speed with 60,000 miles. I have very little experience with these cars as I have always driven a truck or ridden one of my bikes. When I purchased this car it was completely stock. I have since added equal length shorty headers and a 2 1/2" xpipe and flowmasters. On the other end a mac cold air induction kit and a set of pulleys. Now for the questions. I want a very streetable car with a near stock power band just lots more of it. I do not wish to upgrade the trans or lose my a/c. I intend to use a 70 mm throttle body and mass air as well as 24 lb per hour injectors a fuel pressure regulator ,155 fuel pump and a good set of heads as well as roller rockers and a cam swap. Which heads to use?1.94-1.60 with 58 cc chambers or 2.02-1.60 with64 cc? Tell me about phenolic spacer and if the are a benefit. What about performance chips.Do I need to get my intake extrude honed?Which cam to use? I don't want to go into the bottom end at all and I am looking to be well into the 300 rear wheel range. Am I forgetting any thing? I want a strong balanced system that is streetable and fun to drive(relatively low maintenance). Thank you in advance,
William
