It most likely means that the door lock solenoids are frozen, this is a typical problem from Ford door locks! I think everyone goes through it!! You can order new ones anywhere, installing them is pretty easy, but cramped if you have big hands! Good luck! If you want, for now, reach in there and disconnect the rod going to the solenoids, it will make locking and unloacking them much easier!
