Just use a garden hose with a good nozzle. Make sure engine is warm, not hot when you apply the Gunk, it cuts the grease better. Let it set for 15-20 minutes before rinsing. Really scrungy places make take more than one application.
I got a quick question, lets see... I pop the hood, start the engine, let it sit idle for 5min, spray the stuff, then let it sit for 15min, then hose it down? or...

pop hood, start engine, spray it, drive it for 10min, hose it off?

or my final thought, leave car off...spray it...let it sit....rinse it, turn car on...????
