After having used the KB for many years, this is what I recommend (if I haven't said it before):
75mm TB - produces a 1 lb. of boost.
73mm MAF or bigger - another 1 lb. of boost.
Ram air or conical K&N - another 1lb. of boost.
MSD - critical to lighting off the mixture, especially after 8 lbs.
I would also suggest saving money for new AC pullies, p/s pumps, and blower seals. Having the blower share the accessory belt is a BAD idea.
