Like ponycar says depends on what your looking for and what you use the car for, he has good advice. From all my research the 347 to me sounds like a throw away, beat the crap out of it til it breaks and it's time for a new motor. Me, I was thinking along the same lines but have recently decided when I go with a rebuild it will be to a 306, still leaves alot of room later if I want to stroke it out and I figure I'll be making all the power I'll want with my street/strip car. Just my .02
